This software allows the user to predetermine locations to archive it gives the user a choice of synchronising folders or copying of iles one way (with or without deletions). However my favorite aspect of this software is that it can be scheduled easily in XP or Vista.  The commands are available via the SyncToy help files (they differ slightly for the two different operating systems).  This means that you can archive data without any user intervention.
